Teeth Whitening Care
Teeth Whitening, also commonly referred to as teeth bleaching, is the process by which stains and discolorations are lightened, making them appear “whiter”. Teeth whitening is also used to alter your teeth’s natural color and achieve a whiter, brighter smile.
There are two types of teeth whitening options that Dr. Saidara offers. One option is a take-home system where the patient whitens their teeth in the comfort of their own home. The second option is an in-office whitening system called Zoom! that is applied to the teeth in Dr. Saidara’s treatment room. Dr. Saidara evaluates each patient to determine which teeth whitening system will provide the best results.
With the take-home teeth whitening system, Dr. Saidara will make custom bleaching trays that are used to apply the whitening gel to your teeth. Custom trays ensure a proper fit, allowing for the whitening gel to be accurately applied to the teeth. You then take the whitening system home and apply it to your teeth at your convenience. Your teeth are gradually lightened over a few days to a few weeks.
Teeth discoloration can be caused by food or beverage stains, aging, or chemical effects to the teeth. Teeth whitening at Lancaster Dental Care Associates involves the latest in bleaching technology. We invest in safe, effective methods to ensure a brighter and more beautiful smile. If the discoloration is too extreme, the only effective remedies may be crowns or veneers. Teeth whitening can still be a choice because of their low cost and low risk.
The key benefits of teeth whitening include:
- Effective remedies to correct brown or yellow staining
- Can be applied to patients of all ages
- A permanent solution for a dull smile, helping patients recover a brighter shade of teeth
If you want to improve your confidence, teeth whitening technology can promise the most dramatic cosmetic transformation. We are constantly ready to provide you with great service in this popular cosmetic treatment.
Zoom!, the in-office whitening system, is a system in which the whitening gel is applied to your teeth and then activated with a special light. The results are immediate and your teeth can appear 8-10 shades lighter.
